Say hello to our chairman of judges

Tom is Creative Director at Y&R New Zealand, with previous roles at Ogilvy Auckland and Colenso BBDO. His work has won over 25 Cannes Lions including two Grand Prix and a Titanium Lion, multiple Yellow Pencils at D&AD, and Best in Show at the New York Festivals, The Andy’s, and AWARD.

His most coveted and curious accolade however was being ranked alongside Anthony Bourdain and Jamie Oliver in Adweek’s ‘30 most influential people in food’ for “attempting to broker a détente in The Burger Wars”. Of lesser use as culinary bragging rights, the McWhopper campaign was also the most awarded campaign at D&AD and Cannes in 2016. Tom’s honoured and excited to chair the Skulls judging from his hometown of Auckland and looks forward to comparing notes with Western Australians about inspiring work and less inspiring rugby teams.
