Thanks so much to everyone who attended this season’s 2019 PADC Skulls Awards. It was an epic night full of energy, excitement and good times. Thankyou to everyone who made it a night to be remembered, particularly those who spent a few extra hours on the dancefloor.

For the people who couldn’t make it this year, here’s what you missed…

To kick off the night, our awesome supporters Red Bull provided fancy spritz’s, DJ tunes and cocktails featuring the certified organic ORGANICS range. You know it’s going to be a good night when it starts with artisanal small-batch spirits, right? The opener also featured our brand-spanking new media wall provided by oOh! Media and the talented design work of our partners at Nativ Design.

The award show was hosted by our lovely MC, Claire Hooper, who kicked off the night (and gave us rave reviews afterwards, thanks Claire!). Claire has a Fringe Festival show in the new year, so be sure to go check it out!

Six of the prestigious Gold Skulls were awarded to the The Brand Agency, Rare, &Partners and Block Branding, with several silvers snatched up by Gatecrasher, The Brand Agency, Rare, Meerkats, 303 Mullenlowe, Block Branding, Made in the Pile, Kiosk Creative, Marketforce, Open Spaces Productions, Rhythm Content, Southern Cross Austereo, Siamese, and Two From Two (who also took out the PADC Diamond Skulls Designer of the Year earlier this year).

The night was dominated by the performance of The Brand Agency’s ‘Hungry Puffs‘ campaign, which took out Best of Show, 3 Golds, 5 Silvers, 2 Bronzes and a Finalist in total.

 

It was then time for a somewhat bittersweet announcement, as the last-ever White Horses $20,000 Radio Writers award was presented by SCA Head of Sales Noel Quick, after 25 years of service. The award went to Meerkats’ creatives Maya Halilovic, Luke Williams, Josh Edge (4 times winner), and Rikki Burns (3 times winner) for their St John WA radio spot, ‘First Aid Workplace‘.

 

By this point, the drinks were flowing, DJ Genga pumped some great tunes to keep the dancing going, and a sparkly gold photobooth provided by oOh! Media kept everyone entertained before the buses (thanks to Beautiful Pictures) arrived to take everyone to the Youngblood’s After Party at Bob’s Bar.
